Electric Meter Service/Socket Location Policy

Electric service lines to buildings will be extended from the supply transformer to the closest wall, or within fifteen feet on adjacent side walls.

All services requiring a pedestal will be constructed according to standard set by SWL&P. Location of the pedestal must be within three feet of the wall of the building. Meter pedestals may be installed near the lot line/service transformer location, but only under agreement between SWL&P and customer prior to installation.

All metering and metering equipment must be installed in an accessible area on the outside of buildings unless prior arrangements are made with SWL&P.
